    J PREP Saito Juku is seeking enthusiastic instructors to join our team and accommodate our rapidly growing student population. In this full-time role, successful applicants will be responsible teaching group lessons, as well as non-teaching duties such as hiring, training, and scheduling. We are currently looking for candidates with experience teaching exclusively in English to students of varying proficiencies. We strive to help students improve their communication skills, express themselves, and reach their academic goals.

    Position Description:

    The J PREP Scholars team is currently seeking an applicant to join the team in a full-time capacity. In this role, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and assist with the Scholars department and its standardized testing curricula.

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    -Training, observing, and scheduling part-time instructors

    -Developing and overseeing curriculum tailored to standardized tests (TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, etc.)

    -Teaching group lessons on a regular weekly basis

    -Grading student assignments

    -Coordinating and communicating with fellow instructors

    -Assisting with seasonal events and seasonal events

    Applicants are required to:

    -Possess Native-level English proficiency

    -Have experience teaching standardized tests (TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, etc.)

    -Experience teaching in Japan

    -Possess a valid work visa

    -Are available to work on weekends and evenings

    -Workdays: 5 days/week

    Locations (Academic Year 2024): Shibuya, Jiyugaoka, Yotsuya, Kichijoji, Yokohama, Azamino, Myogadani and Mita

    *Transportation is reimbursed

    Preference will be given to candidates who:

    • have experience in supervising instructors and scheduling
    • are professional, flexible, punctual, energetic, and dedicated
    • hold a master’s degree or above
    • are comfortable teaching a wide age group (from elementary to high school students)
    • are comfortable with time-management and following lesson plans
    • are proactive in communicating with supervisors and counterparts
    • hold certifications, such as TEFL, CELTA, TESOL or equivalent
