Job Responsibilities:
New Business Planning/Validation:
Market, competitor, and customer insight research; hypothesis setting; PoC/small-scale testing; KPI design.
Business Planning & P/L Management:
Sales planning, budget vs. actuals, inventory and gross profit management, improving unit economics.
E-commerce/Store Launch & Operations:
Shopify setup, app selection, theme management, cross-border and tax-free support.
POS/Inventory/Order/Logistics Integration:
(WMS/3PL), optimizing store flow, merchandising (MD), and displays.
Project Management:
Scheduling, task and risk management, coordination with internal/external stakeholders, vendor negotiations and contracting.
Customer Acquisition Planning:
Integrated online (SEO, CRM, ads, affiliates) and offline (events, pop-ups, experiences) strategies, plus performance measurement.
Systemization/Standardization:
Establishing business processes, operational procedures, dashboards, and knowledge-sharing frameworks. (Examples: launching new categories, experiential content, pop-ups, B2B wholesale/corporate collaborations, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience as a Project Manager, with a proven track record of coordinating multiple stakeholders and delivering results on time.
-Practical understanding of both e-commerce and physical retail operations.
-Hands-on experience operating Shopify (theme editing, app integrations, product/inventory/order/shipping settings).
-Basic knowledge of store operations (merchandising, inventory, POS/cash register, sales floor improvements, store KPIs).
-Solid numerical management skills (sales, gross profit, inventory turnover, CPA/ROAS, etc.) and practical use of Excel/Spreadsheets.
– Experience in vendor/partner negotiations and contracting, with adherence to governance (legal, advertising standards, data protection, etc.).
– Strong self-motivation, ownership, and communication skills (Japanese proficiency required).
Preferred Qualifications:
– Practical experience in cross-border e-commerce, tax-free support, and inbound-focused initiatives.
– Experience in CRM (email/LINE, etc.), LTV improvement, and repeat purchase design.
– Experience with GA4, Looker Studio visualization, and basic SQL/no-code ETL tools.
– Experience launching pop-ups/new stores and implementing 3PL/WMS solutions.
– Ability to conduct research and correspondence in English.
