National Sales Manager

    Location: Tokyo

    Contract Type: Permanent

    Salary: ¥10,000,000 – ¥13,000,000 per annum

    A global industrial manufacturing company is looking for a National Sales Manager. The selected candidate will lead a direct sales team, drive revenue growth, and implement strategic sales initiatives to achieve business objectives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the Direct Sales team to achieve sales targets and develop new and existing customer business
    • Personally drive major sales initiatives and promote solution-selling approaches
    • Monitor team performance, pipeline management, and provide accurate forecasts
    • Define 3-year strategy, annual business plan, and AOP with the Zone Manager
    • Manage financial performance, including DSO, SG&A, and stock levels
    • Develop and optimise the sales organisation, including talent recruitment, retention, and competency development
    • Ensure compliance with Social, Environment, and Safety regulations and internal policies

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or Marketing
    • More than 10 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Account Management in a related industry and a global company
    • Experience in KPI management, project management, strategic/value/solution selling, sales forecasting, and negotiation
    • Skilled in operational management, business transformation, and team leadership
    • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%
    • Proficient in Japanese and English
