Description
Amic English Center, a division of Amic International, is seeking applications for full-time employment in Matsuyama-shi and Toon-shi, Ehime, Japan. This job starts in October 2025.
THE JOB:
Main responsibilities include:
– Planning and teaching children’s and adults’ conversation classes
– Assisting with day-to-day office activities
WEEKLY WORK SCHEDULE:
– 40 hours per week (8 hours/day, 5 days/week)
– Work days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
– Teaching hours do not exceed 25 hours per week. Since the length of a lesson varies depending on its type, teaching time is calculated in minutes rather than the number of classes. (25 minutes for online lessons, 45 or 50-minute lessons at school)
– Teach in one of our four schools, depending on the days
DAILY WORK SCHEDULE:
– Weekday working hours are from noon to 9 pm, including an hour break. Saturday working hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
THE COMPANY:
Amic International is a diversified English-language services company that offers English conversation classes at three schools around Matsuyama City, and it will open another school in January next year. Additionally, it offers translation and proofreading services to companies nationwide. Amic also provides English coaching services online to mainly business people, while most of the students at school are children. It’s a fun and interesting place to work, and the students are wonderful.
THE LOCATION:
Matsuyama is a historic castle town with the oldest hot spring in Japan, known as Dogo Onsen. It offers a wealth of entertainment, excellent food, exciting festivals, and easy access to natural beauty spots. Toon, where our Shigenobu school is located, is an adjacent town to Matsuyama.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Required:
– Native-level Fluency in English
– Currently residing in Japan with a proper visa
– Bachelor’s degree required
– At least 1 year of experience teaching English
– A flexible, positive attitude
– Passion to teach English
– Cheerful and positive personality
Preferred:
– Teaching experience to young children
– Teaching qualifications (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA)
– Master’s degree in relation to education
