A multinational financial services company is seeking a Payroll Analyst. The selected candidate will handle payroll processing, statutory compliance, and employee support while ensuring accuracy and adherence to local regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees, including tax and contribution calculations
- Maintain and troubleshoot employee payroll records to ensure accuracy
- Provide guidance and support to employees on salary, overtime, bonus, and commission-related queries
- Prepare and submit statutory filings and manage communication with government institutions
- Liaise with local tax authorities for payroll reporting and compliance matters
- Drive continuous improvement in payroll processes and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a key contact for payroll-related inquiries
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new payroll policies and risk mitigation procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- More than 5 years of experience in HR
- More than 3 years of Japan payroll experience
- Proven experience in payroll management and Japan income and resident tax compliance
- Proficient in Excel and strong analytical skills
- Skilled in SAP HR or Workday (preferred)
- Native level Japanese; proficient in written and verbal English
