    ◆ Kids Duo International & i Kids Star: Creating caring, nurturing environments for children

    As a teacher at one of our state-of-the-art bilingual kindergartens, you will work alongside a Japanese-speaking homeroom teacher to support up to 32 children aged two to six. Our schools emphasize both Japanese and English language and culture, with a curriculum built on three pillars: English, Japanese, and Physical Education.

    You will teach life skills and academic subjects in English (reading, writing, math, and language development), lead creative activities, songs, and indoor/outdoor play, and support Japanese language and physical education classes.

    At Kids Duo International & i Kids Star, we help children express themselves bilingually, build cultural awareness, and grow into confident, independent learners.

    ◆ Working hours

    ・Shifts consist of eight hours of work with a one-hour break (a total commitment of nine hours). A typical shift is from 8:30 to 17:30
    ・Several event days take place throughout the year and may occur on weekends or national holidays
    ・Paid overtime may be required, depending on school needs or special events

    ◆Main duties and responsibilities

    ・Teach classes conducted in English in alignment with the curriculum
    ・Assist with lessons and activities conducted in Japanese
    ・Actively interact with students throughout the day
    ・Collaborate effectively with both Japanese and English-speaking staff
    ・Model and promote friendly, enthusiastic, and professional behavior
    ・Teach and reinforce proper manners and basic life skills
    ・Plan and prepare materials for classes using the provided curriculum and lesson plans
    ・Support students with toilet training
    ・Participate in physical education classes and outdoor play
    ・Prepare for and participate in school events, including field trips, open school days, sports days, and Japanese and Western seasonal events
    ・Provide feedback for parents, including weekly comments and twice-yearly report cards
    ・Perform daily cleaning of classrooms and school facilities as part of shared staff responsibilities (including bathrooms)
    ・Support extended childcare and/or extracurricular programs as part of weekly shared duties (paid overtime)
