Mejiro International School is currently recruiting a full-time English teacher for our Elementary School located just 2 minutes by foot from Takadanobaba Station on the Yamanote Line.
Teachers who are outgoing and enthusiastic, enjoy working with children, and place emphasis on creating classes with a fun and encouraging atmosphere are strongly encouraged to apply! In particular, we are looking for teachers who:
– will tailor their lessons to the individual needs and interests of their students and foster an active attitude toward learning
– will create a fun environment for and interact with students not only during lessons but also during morning circle and during breaks between classes.
All individuals with professional experience teaching children and/or with ELT experience will be warmly received. However, these skills are not required to apply, and even entry-level candidates with the right attitude and personality will be considered to join us as we learn and develop together.
Job duties include planning and teaching regular English lessons, participating in other classes conducted in English (e.g. art lessons and active learning activities), and creating course materials.
POSITION DETAILS
Start Date:
-Negotiable; can start immediately
Working Hours:
-Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work when there are special school events
-8:30 to 17:30 with a one-hour break
-40 hours per week
